don't make the same mistakeBy JT
Don't buy this saw new or used! You have to remove some parts from the blade guard and shift it out of the way just to change the blade! If you loan to a neighbor or friend and forget to tell them that the saw is a piece of crap, they might attempt to remove the blade guard completely. Springs, washers, spacers etc. will fall eveywhere. A very real hassle getting parts back together without breaking the cheap plastic one-of-a-kind dish spacer. I only wish I could have read THIS review before I bought. The saw guide floor plate is el-cheapo plastic as well. There are other makers besides Ridgid to choose from. This saw is very poorly designed. Saw maybe has something good about it, but I can't think of what that might be. I've owned this Ridgid piece of junk about a year now. Don't make the same mistake I did!
